Fees/Insurance

Listening Post provides counseling or therapy for these three types of services: individual therapy ($125.00/session), couple therapy ($180.00/session), and family therapy ($200.00/session).

 

Each session is fifty (50) minutes. For more details on these services, refer to the Services tab. Please note the following guidelines:

  • A sliding scale is available for financially challenged individuals.

 

  • Payment of fees is via e-transfer.

 

  • We send the invoice before the session. After payment, we issue a receipt.

 

  • We do not offer direct billing.

 

  • In the event of in-person counseling or therapy, cash payment is acceptable. A receipt will be issued electronically afterwards.

Your insurance plan may cover counseling and therapy sessions. Please inquire with them first before seeking an appointment with Listening Post.

 

If you don't have a health insurance plan, you can claim counseling and psychotherapy costs as medical expenses on your tax return.

 

You must submit the cancellation or rescheduling of an appointment two business days prior to the confirmed appointment. Failure to adhere to this guideline will result in an invoice for a $50.00 administrative fee. Business days are Monday through Saturday, excluding statutory holidays.
